Olympia, Wash. —

A KIRO 7 crew was there as a state employee was brought to jail Tuesday evening, accused of trying to hire a hit man to murder his wife.

Tumwater Police brought 54-year-old Brian Cox to the Thurston County Jail.

He is an employee with the State Department of Financial Institutions.

Cox is accused of contacting a man and trying to arrange the murder of his estranged wife.

Before entering the jail in Olympia, Cox told KIRO 7 he has done nothing wrong he claimed he was being set up.
