Police find missing 10-day-old infant

OLYMPIA, Wash. — Olympia police  found a 10-day-old infant after searching the area Friday afternoon.

Police said the infant was with her parents, Jack Short and Karent Lewis, and they believed that she may have been at risk of harm from them.

According to the Olympia Police Department, Washington State Child Protective Services notified the department of an order issued by the Thurston County Superior Court to remove the child from the care of her parents.

Short and Lewis do not have a fixed address and failed to go to a doctor visit scheduled for the infant Friday afternoon, which started the search.
