SEATTLE — Officers are investigating an incident in which they said a woman stole a man's car and then intentionally ran over him in the Highland Park neighborhood of West Seattle.

Shortly after 6 a.m. Wednesday, police were called to a report of a hit-and-run  in the 9400 block of 11th Avenue Southwest.

Witnesses told police a woman who knew the victim stole his 2007 Cadillac and struck him with the car as he tried to stop her from leaving.

Seattle fire said the 24-year-old victim had injuries to his head and body.  He was transported to Harborview.

Officers said the driver fled after the attack.

Officers interviewed witnesses who provided information and possible locations as to where the woman might be.    A stolen vehicle report was completed for the Cadillac and that information was broadcast to officers in several jurisdictions.

Officers tried to find the 23-year-old woman in the Federal Way and Des Moines area, but she was not at any of the locations they checked.    She was later found in SeaTac and arrested.
