Police say man confessed to killing ex, leaving body at park and ride

KENT, Wash. — Investigators said a man turned himself in to the Seattle Police Department telling them he had killed his ex-wife and left her body in her car at a Kent park and ride.

Kent police said Seattle officers contacted them late Sunday night after the man confessed to killing the 39-year-old woman.

Kent patrol officers went to the West Hill Park and Ride in the 23400 block of Military Road South and found a lone vehicle that contained a woman’s body. Authorities said the cause of her death has not been determined, but the woman had significant trauma to her body.

Detectives said they are investigating the circumstances and motive in the attack.

Neither the man nor his ex-wife lived in Kent.
