PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State University police responded to a report of shots fired on campus Thursday, according to school officials.
The incident happened early in the afternoon in the 1300 and 1400 blocks of Olympia Avenue Southeast near Rogers Hall.
According to school officials, investigators reported that it appears the weapon involved in the incident was a pellet gun.
No injuries were reported, but the rear passenger window of a vehicle parked in the area was damaged.
The university issued an emergency alert to students, faculty and staff shortly before 2 p.m. warning them to avoid the area. The warning was lifted 15 minutes later.
No suspects were apprehended, and an investigation continues.
