SEATTLE - A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run in the International District Sunday morning, police said.
The collision happened at 12th Avenue South and South Dearborn Street.
Police said around 4:41 a.m., a 911 call came in about a body on the street in the 1200 block of South Dearborn Street.
When crews arrived, they found a 34-year-old man who was dead at the scene.
According to police, based on the condition of the man and evidence from the scene, it appeared that the man had been dragged by a vehicle after being struck.
Police closed South Dearborn Street near the 12th Avenue Bridge to investigate. It reopened around 8 a.m.
Detectives will continue to investigate the incident.
