Police: Man tries to take off boy's pants, touches another at Seward Park

SEATTLE — Detectives are investigating a report of a molestation at a South Seattle park.

The incident happened about 1:45 p.m. on July 9 at Seward Park.

According to police, a group of boys between the ages 8 and 13, were changing their clothes in the bathroom of the park.

Authorities said a man approached the boys and made lewd comments to them, tried to take off one of the boy’s pants, and touched another boy. The man then left the bathroom and got into a green Toyota Corolla with another Asian man, who appeared to be in his 90s, and drove away.

The boys immediately reported the incident to lifeguards and adults in the park, who then called police.

Police described the man as Asian, in his late 40s, 5 feet 11 inches tall, 200 pounds, wearing gray shorts and red sneakers.
