Police: Man robs Monroe bank

Police are looking for a man who robbed a Monroe bank Friday.

MONROE, Wash. — The robbery happened at the Union Bank in the 200 block of West Main Street after 5:30 p.m.

According to police, the man came into the bank and passed a note to the teller demanding money. A weapon was implied but not seen.

The teller gave the man an unspecified amount of cash, and he fled the area on foot.

Police described the robber as a white man, mid -40s, wearing a brown coat, camouflage hat and work boots. He has dark brown hair and a full dark-brown beard interspersed with gray.

The Monroe Police Department will continue to investigate the incident.
