Police: Man robbed at gunpoint in U-District

SEATTLE — A man was robbed Saturday at gunpoint in the University District, according to the Seattle Police Department.

Police said the man was walking near Northeast 50^th Avenue and University Way Northeast.

Several suspects approached the man and assaulted him. According to police, one of the suspects produced a silver handgun.

The suspects took the victim’s backpack and fled the scene on foot.

Police said a description of the suspects was not provided.
