Police: Man punches women at South Lake Union restaurant

SEATTLE — Two women were punched and another woman was injured early Sunday morning at a South Lake Union restaurant, police said.

The incident happened before 1 a.m. at Citrus Restaurant and Lounge in the 1000 block of Fairview Avenue North.

Police said officers responded to a fight disturbance at the establishment. A fight erupted between two women and a man punched one of the two women.

The group left the restaurant and the two women chased each other around in the parking lot.

According to police, the man punched the other woman and left with the woman he punched first before officers arrived.

Police said during the disturbance in the restaurant, an unknown person threw a champagne bottle across the dance floor and struck a woman not involved. It is unknown at this time if the woman or her group were targeted or not.

Medics responded to the scene and treated the woman struck with a bottle and took her to Harborview Medical Center.

The woman that was punched declined treatment and left on her own.

No arrests were made.
