Police: Man injured in Kirkland residential burglary

KIRKLAND, Wash. — A 19-year-old man was injured inside of his Kirkland home Saturday morning during a burglary, police said.

Officers responded to a home in the 13700 block of Northeast 132nd Street at about 6 a.m. for a residential burglary and missing persons report.

Police said the homeowners discovered their 19-year-old son was missing from the residence, but he was later found nearby with several injuries.

According to investigators, an unknown person or people forced entry into the home and may have assaulted the man.

The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center to be treated for his injuries.

Kirkland police said there is no suspect information and detectives will continue to investigate the incident.
