SEATTLE - A man was taken into custody Saturday morning after a police standoff, said police.
After 8 a.m., police responded to a report of a domestic violence assault with a knife at an apartment complex in the 12700 block of Lake City Way Northeast.
According to police, a man stabbed his girlfriend in the hand during a dispute and fled the scene.
Officers found the man hiding underneath a parked car in the garage of the complex, but he refused to come out.
After a 90-minute standoff with SWAT officers, the man surrendered and was taken into custody.
Medics took the woman to an area hospital to be treated for her non-life-threatening injuries.
The man will be booked into the King County Jail for felony domestic violence assault.
The incident remains under investigation.
