BONNEY LAKE, Wash. - Police are looking for a man who tried to lure a teen girl into his van in Bonney Lake, saying "I'm going to get you."

The incident happened in the 11000 block of Angeline Road at about 6:30 a.m. Thursday.

According to police, a 14-year-old girl reported that she was walking down Angeline Road towards a bus stop when she noticed a van traveling slowly. The van passed her and turned around on two separate occasions.

The teen then started walking faster toward a friend’s house.   When she reached the corner of 110th and Angeline Road, the van pulled up 3-4 feet from her.

Police said the driver had the window rolled down and looked at the teen and said, “I’m going to get you.”

The girl left the scene and hid behind a tree until her friend and friend’s mother drove past. They then stopped and helped the teen.

The teen reported the man in the van fled the area in an unknown direction.

Police described the man as white, heavy-set, in his 40s or 50s, with blue or green eyes, light facial hair around his mouth and cheeks and had a very pale face. He was wearing a gray, hooded-style sweatshirt. The van he was driving appeared to be a deep red with tinted windows.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Bonney Lake Police Department.
