Police: Man attacked, robbed in Capitol Hill

A man was struck in the head and robbed early Sunday morning while walking home, police said.

SEATTLE — The robbery happened in the 2200 block of East Olive Street around 2:30 a.m.

Police said a man was walking home when he was struck in the back of his head by a blunt object causing him to be knocked to the ground.

When the man turned around, two people were standing over him.

One of the attackers pointed a shotgun at the victim’s face, then struck the victim with the gun several times, according to police.

The attackers took the victim’s cellphone and wallet then fled the scene.

The victim called 911 from his house. He sustained and received stitches to the back of his head and under his left eye.

Police and a K9 searched the area for the two attackers but could not find them.
