TACOMA, Wash. - Tacoma police released photos of two men believed to be witnesses in the fatal shooting of a 54-year-old Tacoma man.
At about 9:55 p.m. on Saturday August 31, Lawrence Howse was shot and killed by two men inside the parking garage of the Sky Terrace Condominiums in the 200 block of South Broadway in downtown Tacoma.
"We believe they confronted him, shot him and then fled the garage, probably northbound on Broadway," said Tacoma police spokeswoman Loretta Cool.
Detectives believe the victim was randomly targeted by the suspects, who robbed the victim before fatally shooting him and running away.
The suspects are described as two black men in their late teens or early 20s with average builds. The first man was seen wearing a white shirt and dark pants and had a light complexion. The second man was wearing a dark shirt, dark pants, and his hair may have been worn in an afro or short braids.
Anyone who knows the identity of the possible witnesses or the suspects is asked to call Tacoma police or 911.
