Man arrested after multiple groping incidents at the UW

SEATTLE — Police at the University of Washington were investigating -- after multiple incidents involving a man allegedly fondling women at the campus’ Intramural Activities Building.

According to police, a woman was groped in the building's public space. Two incidents happened on Sunday, another on Wednesday and a fourth may have occurred that same day.

On the evening of Sunday, Feb. 7, the man was arrested -- after groping a graduate student as she was leaving the women’s bathroom.

The student followed him to the men’s room and called police.

He was then contacted and arrested. The suspect is a 19-year-old student at the University of Washington.

The man was described as white, about 18 to 22 years old, 5 feet 9 to 5 feet 11 in height, with short light blond or light brown hair, and a slim to average build.

Police said on the dates of the incidents, the man wore a dark gray T-shirt. On another occasion, he was also wearing knee-length black basketball shorts.
