King County detectives are looking for additional sexual assault victims as well as information regarding possible attacks by a Level 3 sex offender.
Demarcus B. Linwood is a Level 3 registered sex offender suspected of sexual assaults in the Seattle and Shoreline areas.
Linwood has been in custody since Feb. 8, and King County Sheriff’s Office Special Assault detectives are attempting to discover if there may be additional victims or people that may have relevant information regarding Linwood.
Officers said public transit appeared to be Linwood’s primary mode of transportation, and he was known to meet women who appear to be homeless or otherwise vulnerable near bus stops or parks.
The contact with the women would ultimately lead to a sexual assault, police said.
Linwood was charged in King County Superior Court with third-degree rape in connection with an incident investigated by the King County Sheriff’s Office.
Seattle police are also investigating Linwood in a separate sexual assault.
