LAKE STEVENS, Wash. - A woman in her 20s was found dead inside a Lake Stevens home Monday, and police were waiting for a search warrant to gather more evidence.
The homicide was in the 9200 block of 15th Street Southeast. Police said it was not clear if the case was random, but a detective told KIRO 7 they’re not searching for a suspect. Police did not elaborate.
No one was being detained or questioned as police waited for the search warrant shortly before 1 p.m. It was not clear how long the woman had been dead. The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit is leading the investigation.
Police said that they believe the woman's death is not related to the Molly Conley shooting.
