Pedestrian killed in collision with Metro bus

SEATTLE — A pedestrian was killed when he was hit by a Metro bus in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood.

Seattle police were called to the 1100 block of East Pine Street at 6:03 a.m. Monday to find a dead man lying in the street behind the bus.

There were about three people on the bus at the time of the collision, but it doesn’t appear that anyone witnessed the incident, Seattle police said.

Traffic Collision Investigation Squad detectives are helping patrol officers with the investigation.

East Pine was closed between 11th and 12th avenues while police investigated but has since reopened.
