Police investigate suspicious Tacoma house fire

TACOMA, Wash. — Tacoma police believe a fire that damaged a  home Saturday is suspicious.

The fire was reported after 5 p.m. at a house near the corner of South 57th Street and G Street.

Firefighters extinguished the flames within a half hour.

Police said investigators visited the home on Friday because of a dispute between the tenant and the landlord.

KIRO 7 Eyewitness News partner the Tacoma News Tribune reported that neighbors said tenants have been trashing the home.  Eyewitnesses reported seeing two people on the porch, and after smelling smoke, the  people ran away.

No injuries were reported.
