SEATTLE - Detectives are investigating a car-pedestrian collision Wednesday morning in Wedgwood that critically injured a man.
The incident happened at 35th Northeast Street and Northeast 75th Street at about 10:30 a.m.
According to police, a man got off a Metro coach and stepped into the southbound lanes of 35th Avenue Northeast and was struck by car.
Medics took the man with life-threatening injuries to Harborview Medical Center.
Officials with the Seattle Fire Department said he is in critical condition.
Officers evaluated the driver of the car and there were no signs of impairment.
Authorities will continue to investigate the incident.
