SEATTLE - A Seattle officer’s patrol vehicle was hit by drunken driver early Sunday morning in Ballard.
Police said an officer was driving northbound in the 6700 block of Third Avenue Northwest after 3 a.m. when a driver cut across Third Avenue Northwest, traveling westbound, and struck the police vehicle.
The driver then fled the scene. She was later found at 15th Avenue Northwest and Northwest Market Street.
Police took the woman into custody. She was processed for suspicion of driving under the influence.
The officer and woman were not injured during the crash.
