Police: Driver hits multiple vehicles in Capitol Hill

SEATTLE — Seattle police took a 27-year-old man into custody Friday afternoon after he struck multiple unoccupied vehicles in Capitol Hill.

According to the Seattle Police Department, after 1 p.m., multiple witnesses called 911 and reported that a green Subaru was driving recklessly northbound on Lakeview Avenue East from Roy Street.

Police said a caller reported the Subaru struck nine unoccupied vehicles in the area.

After crashing into the vehicles, the Subaru had a flat tire and stopped near 1605 Broadway Avenue East.

When officers arrived at the location, they found the driver and took him into custody without incident.

The driver was taken to the East Precinct where he was processed for driving under the influence, according to police.

He will be booked into the King County Jail for hit-and-run while driving under the influence and property damage.

Police are currently attempting to identify victims of the incident.
