Arrest made in Bellingham attempted abductions

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Police have made an arrest of a man in connection with two attempted abductions in Bellingham.

Police told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News Thursday about the arrest.

According to Bellingham police, a man attempted to abduct a 13-year-old girl and a 24-year-old woman Friday. The man also sprayed the victims with an unknown substance.

Both victims described the attacker as a white man, in his 20s, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a thin build, light-colored facial hair, wearing medium to dark-framed oval-shaped glasses, blue jeans, a black hooded sweatshirt and black shoes.

Police released sketches Wednesday of the described attacker.
