Police: 3 baristas arrested for giving paid shows

EVERETT, Wash. — Police arrested three baristas Wednesday afternoon for serving more than just coffee at Everett stands.

After a two-month undercover investigation for probable cause for violating Everett’s adult cabaret law, police busted the baristas on camera for allegedly giving out paid shows instead of serving coffee.

"Citizens complained that these locations served more than just coffee," said Lt. James Duffy of the Criminal Intelligence Unit.  "Indeed, our investigation uncovered exhibition and exposure which is outside the confines of the law. During the investigation, video surveillance showed that at times coffee or drinks were not served, but shows were paid for and given.”

Police said the three women were arrested at two locations.

All three baristas work at the Grab-N-Go coffee stands in Everett, which are located at 2030 Broadway Avenue and 333 Southwest Everett Mall Way.

Everett police are working to determine if the owners of the coffee stands were involved.
