Police: 2 officers hurt while trying to arrest man

SEATTLE — Two Seattle police officers were injured Friday night after a man assaulted them, authorities said.

According to police, a bystander pointed out to officers that a man was reported to be “acting crazy" on East Union Street at about 11 p.m.

The man approached two people on the street, confronted them and threw a punch at them.

When officers approached the man, he got into a fighting stance. The man threw punches at the officers as they tried to arrest him.

They were able to arrest him. The 31-year-old man and two officers were taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.

Upon release from the hospital, the man will be booked into the King County Jail for investigation of assault.
