SEATTLE - After sifting through what Seattle police described as a staggering amount of stolen property found in the back of a stolen pickup Sunday in West Seattle, detectives are looking to return the stolen items to their owners.
Items stolen in burglaries or car break-ins include steak knives, jewelry, coins and cash, checks, a car title, paperwork, a signed baseball, GPS unit, a blue basketball shoe, car keys a nose hair trimmer and many others.
Police uploaded more than 70 pictures of some of the property. See the gallery of photos here.
Anyone who believes they own the items is asked to contact the Seattle police Major Crimes Task Force hotline at 206-684-4762.
Detectives said they will need to verify ownership of the items, so anyone who reported any items as stolen, should have a case number ready when they call. Anyone who hasn’t yet reported stolen items to police can file a report online here.
