A 69-year-old pedestrian hit by a car in Seattle’s Fairmount Park Neighborhood Sunday night has died.
About 9:15 p.m., a Ford sedan was traveling northbound on 35th Avenue Southwest. As the Ford entered the intersection of Southwest Graham Street, the Ford struck a pedestrian, police said.
The man suffered life-threatening injuries but was conscious and alert when medics arrived. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center where he died from his injuries a short time later.
More than four hours after the crash occurred a KIRO 7 crew saw investigators still working the scene.
Police said as is routine, a drug recognition expert officer evaluated the driver of the Ford. There were no signs of any impairment on the part of the driver, police said.
