Pedestrian hurt after being hit by car in Skagit County


SKAGIT COUNTY, Wash. - A 21-year-old man was hurt early Wednesday morning after being hit by a car in Skagit County, said the Washington State Patrol.

The incident happened at 1:18 p.m. on State Route 20 on Collins Road in Sedro Wooley.

According to authorities, a man was sitting on the shoulder lane outside of his vehicle after a crash, when a driver in a Toyota was traveling east swerved and tried to avoid the crash, but hit the man.

Medics took the injured man to Skagit Valley Hospital.

The driver of the Toyota was not hurt.

 The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
