Pedestrian fatally struck by 2 vehicles

SEATTLE — Seattle police are investigating an incident in which a pedestrian was killed after he was struck by two vehicles in Seattle's South Park neighborhood.

The incident  happened Monday just before 10 p.m. at the intersection of 10th Avenue South and South Cloverdale Street.

Police said the pedestrian may have been playing in the street when he was struck by two passing vehicles.

The drivers of both vehicles remained at the scene after the crash to speak with investigators.

A KIRO 7 Eyewitness News crew spoke with neighbor Ed Daniels who said he saw a man's body in the street.

Medics responded, but the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to neighbors, there was a group of people hanging out at the nearby bus stop, but it is unclear where the man was standing before he was hit.

The road was shut down for several hours as police investigated.
The man's identity has not been released.
