SEATTLE - Flights were put on hold Tuesday evening when a man went through an exit line and entered a sterile area of Sea-Tac Airport, officials with the Transportation Security Administration said.
The incident happened around 7:30 p.m.
TSA officials and the Port of Seattle Police Department immediately began a search for the individual and found him. He was taken into custody and later released.
Areas of the airport terminal were evacuated and passengers were required to be rescreened.
According to TSA officials, normal security checkpoint operations resumed around 9:20 p.m.
The incident is still under investigation.
