Passenger killed in Everett rollover crash

EVERETT, Wash. - A passenger was killed in an Everett crash Friday night, police said.

The collision happened in the northbound lanes of State Route 529 near Steamboat Slough after 6:30 p.m. 

According to police, witnesses told officers a vehicle was driving erratically when it struck a barrier. The vehicle then rolled over and landed on its wheels and continued until it crashed into a median.

A passenger in the vehicle was ejected and died at the scene. 

The driver, believed to be 40 years old and from Ocean Shores, was taken to Providence Medical Center.

 SR-529 was closed for detectives to investigate, but later reopened. 

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the identity of the passenger.
