Overpass on SR-16 damaged after hit by semi

GIG HARBOR, Wash. — The Olympic Drive overpass was damaged after it was hit by a commercial vehicle Sunday afternoon in Gig Harbor, said the Washington State Patrol.

The incident happened after 1 p.m. on the westbound lanes of State Route 16 at Olympic Drive.

All westbound lanes of SR-16 were closed and traffic was detoured through Olympic Drive.

No injuries were reported.

The State Patrol investigated the incident.
