Only on KIRO 7: 5 vehicles seized after bounty hunters lead to arrests

DUVALL, Wash. — King County Sheriff’s Deputies seized five vehicles early Friday after a call from a group of bounty hunters led to a double arrest.

It took two tow trucks to haul away all the vehicles detectives think were stolen.

Investigators got a call Thursday afternoon from some bounty hunters, who'd been looking for a Maerose Bocchetti on several criminal warrants.

The bounty hunters had learned that she was staying in a trailer outside a home near Duvall.  At that home early Thursday evening, they tried to take her into custod,  but her boyfriend, Shane Morgan, came out and fought with the bounty hunters.

They tased and maced him and called deputies, who discovered that Morgan was wanted in connection with a violent home invasion months ago in Kittitas County.

The man who owned the home declined an on-camera interview, but told KIRO 7 off-camera that they’re acquaintances of his who asked if they could stay for awhile in a trailer in the driveway and he agreed.  He insisted he had no idea anything else was going on.

Both Morgan and Bocchetti were booked into the King County Jail late Thursday.

About 2 a.m. Friday, a KIRO 7 crew saw deputies supervising as a tow truck loaded up a big white Ford pickup.  The tow truck was also pulling three motorcycles behind it on a trailer.  Then another tow truck arrived to take away a Bobcat Skid-Steer loader.

A check on the Internet revealed that even used ones of that type were advertised for up to $12,000.  Deputies tell KIRO 7 the identification numbers on the truck, at least two of the motorcycles, and the Bobcat had been removed.  That’s evidence, they say, that a vehicle is most likely stolen.
