SEATTLE - Firefighters were called to a residence in Fremont just after 10 p.m. Tuesday night for a fire that quickly spread from a vehicle to the home.
Firefighters had to first put out the vehicle before they could put out the home. The fire first burned the deck and then moved up the front of the home into the attic.
Seattle Fire commenced with an aggressive attack on the house fire and put it out in about 20 minutes, but not before it caused significant damage to the home.
Two residents were working on the car at the time of the fire and were near it when it caught fire. One person suffered burns to a hand and was transported to Harborview Medical Center. The other person was not hurt.
