SPANAWAY, Wash. — Central Pierce fire said one person has been injured in an explosion in Spanaway involving an RV.
The RV was parked in a Walmart parking lot when the blast occurred Thursday morning.
One person, who was said to be in serious condition, was transported to the hospital.
Fire officials said stored fuel coming in contact with an open flame possibly caused the explosion.
Though there was significant damage to the vehicle, there was no damage to Walmart or surrounding buildings.
