LYNNWOOD, Wash. — Two dogs are missing after a two-alarm fire broke out at a home east of Lynnwood and displaced a family of four.
The two-alarm fire at the home in the 17000 block of 13th Avenue West was reported at about 1:40 a.m. Friday.
Those who live in the home, a couple and their two children, discovered the fire after they were awakened by a loud bang. They safely got out of the house.
South County Fire crews arrived from the Martha Lake Fire Station less than a block away, but the home was already engulfed in flames. Crews had to fight the fire from outside because it was too dangerous to go inside.
The house is a total loss. The Red Cross and Support 7 are helping the displaced family.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s Office .
