Search underway for suspects in high-speed chase

MEDINA, Wash. — A search is underway for two suspects who led police on a high-speed chase in a stolen vehicle along I-5 early Friday.

They ended up in a ditch on Seventh Street in Medina.

The chase started in Marysville around midnight.

Video from multiple Washington State Department of Transportation cameras show police vehicles responding to the pursuit of the suspects along I-5.

Authorities say they started the chase after spotting the license plate of the stolen vehicle.

Police later found the car in Medina. Two suspects had already fled.

A female juvenile who stayed in the vehicle was detained. Officers and their K-9 unit later tracked down another man who was also in the car.

One of the two suspects who are at large – a male and a female – may be a juvenile. At least one of them is armed, according to police.
