Officers spotted the vehicle on 132nd and State Avenue in Marysville and started a pursuit. Police tried to spike the vehicle there but were not successful.

According to police, officers chased the vehicle until it drove the wrong way going northbound on southbound lanes of I-5 at 116th. Another unit tried to stop the vehicle but stopped because of high speeds.

The front tire of the suspect’s vehicle disintegrated and police stopped the vehicle with a pit maneuver, police said.

Police said the woman stayed in the car and the driver fled the scene on foot but was later arrested. He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail.
