MONROE, Wash. — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train near Highway 2 and Woods Creek Road in Monroe Tuesday morning.
Monroe police said a body believed to be that of the pedestrian was found caught in a log jam in Woods Creek.
A dive team has been called in to retrieve the body.
The intersection of SR 2 and Main Street is blocked at the east end of town while police investigate.
