Man in critical condition after shooting outside Everett Motel 6

EVERETT, Wash. — A man is in critical condition after he was shot in the parking lot of an Everett Motel 6 Tuesday night.

The shooting at 224 128th St SW happened just before midnight.

According to witnesses, a 28-year-old man had gone to the parking lot to confront another man, who was with several other people, about a debt.

While the two men talked, one man with the group became angry and shot at the victim's vehicle and the victim.

The suspect fled the area with three other men.  The victim was transported to Harborview Regional Medical Center.

An extensive search of the area was conducted by K-9, patrol and helicopter, but the suspects were not found.
