Deputies arrest suspect in Lynnwood arson

A 33-year-old Kent man was arrested after shots were fired and a mobile home fire in Lynnwood on Tuesday night.

At about 8:30 p.m., witnesses called 911 to report hearing gunshots and seeing a mobile home on fire in 15900 block of Highway 99.

When crews arrived to the scene, they found a home fully-engulfed in flames.

There were no injuries but investigators determined the fire was arson.

During a search, deputies found five shell casings outside the mobile home.

Police later found the suspect walking on Highway 99. He was arrested and booked into the Snohomish County Jail on suspicion of first-degree arson, unlawful possession of a firearm and aiming and discharging a dangerous weapon.

The investigation remains ongoing.
