Thieves make off with at least 12 weapons in smash-and-grab at Everett pawn shop

Thieves made off with at least 12 weapons in a smash-and-grab early Saturday morning at an Everett pawn shop. The incident was caught on camera.

The thieves struck the Pawn Fathers pawn shop on Evergreen Way in Everett just after 3 a.m. Saturday.

The pawn shop's owner, Jessica Adams, released the video which shows a maroon-colored sedan backing into the front door of the pawn shop. It took three tries for the vehicle to finally break through a glass door and a steel gate. Three men, with their faces covered up, then ran inside to grab guns and rifles.

“We never had anything like this happen to us, so it’s pretty devastating,” Adams said.

She said the thieves went straight for the firearms and knew exactly what they wanted. She said at least a dozen weapons were taken.

“I am sure they have been in there to scope things out before,” Adams ssaid. “There were only firearms [taken]. They didn’t go for anything else in the store.”

Adams said police have the license plate of the car that crashed into her business. She said she hopes someone will recognize who the suspects are so police can arrest them.

A similar smash-and-grab happened on August 7, when thieves rammed an entire truck through a different business in Everett. Surveillance video shows them getting away with an ATM.
