Motorcyclist dies after Everett collision

EVERETT, Wash. — A motorcyclist died after a collision in Everett Sunday afternoon, police said.

Police responded to a report of a crash that happened in the 4900 block of northbound Evergreen Way before 3 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found a 36-year-old motorcyclist severely injured. He was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.

According to police, a motorcycle was traveling southbound when a vehicle was turning left, in front of the motorcycle, into the QFC parking lot. The motorcyclist tried to stop but collided with the car.

Everett police told KIRO 7 there were no other injuries.

Police said it is unknown if alcohol, drugs or speed were factors in the collision.

Detectives will continue to investigate the crash.
