SEATTLE - Police are investigating an overnight robbery of a motel where an employee was tied up and held at gunpoint Friday.

Seattle Police responded to the Marco Polo Motel at 4114 Aurora Avenue North just after midnight.

Police at the scene would not comment on the circumstances of the robbery but the general manager of the motel told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News that he was robbed by an armed man who tied him up.

He says the suspect took off with three laptops and the cash register from the motel. When the suspect fled, the general manager was able to untie himself and call police.

The general manager declined to give a description of the suspect but said that police will be pulling surveillance video from the motel to get a picture of the suspect.
