Men handcuffed, beaten, robbed at Bothell hotel

BOTHELL, Wash. — At least two men were bound or handcuffed and then robbed and beaten during a gathering that turned bad at a hotel in Bothell.

An employee at the Holiday Inn Express on 228th Street Southeast and 15th Avenue said that overnight, a man rented two adjoining rooms and invited friends over.

Those friends then invited another group of people to the hotel.   It was that group that beat up and handcuffed the man who rented the room, the employee said.

At least one of the victim’s friends was also tied up and beaten.

The renter’s car was stolen and the suspects fled, according to the hotel employee that called police.

One person was taken to the hospital for possible head injuries.

Police are interviewing the victims.

It is not known how many suspects were involved.
