Memorial service for Gov. Booth Gardner to be held Saturday

TACOMA, Wash. — A public memorial service will be held Saturday in honor of the late Gov. Booth Gardner.

The memorial will start at 11 a.m. at the University of Puget Sound Fieldhouse in Tacoma.

Gardner was Washington's 19^th governor and served from 1985 to 1993.

Gardner passed away earlier this month at age 76 from complications related to his long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
