SEATTLE - Seattle police are investigating an armed robbery at a medical marijuana dispensary in South Seattle.
Police said the robbery took place just before 10:45 a.m. in the 3200 block of Rainier Avenue South, just blocks from Franklin High School. A 911 caller, who was apparently somewhere nearby, said several armed individuals entered the business. A subsequent 911 call from within the business confirmed that three armed men robbed the dispensary and then fled southbound down an alley.
Police described the men as black and wearing all-black clothing. They were armed with handguns.
Chopper 7 flew over the scene and saw several police officers at the scene, outside a shop with a sign that read "Seattle Medicinal Clinic."
Officers said they didn't want potential evidence at the scene broadcast and asked KIRO 7 to stay on the other side of the parking lot.
KIRO 7's Stacy Sakamoto was at the scene and said it looked as though there may have been a couple witnesses, as those people were entering and exiting the business.
Anyone with any information on the case is asked to call 911.
