Masked man robs Wedgwood bank

Seattle police are looking for a man who robbed a Wedgwood bank Thursday morning.

SEATTLE — The robbery happened at a Key Bank in the 7300 block of 35th Avenue Northeast around 9:45 a.m.

According to police, a man walked into the bank, pointed a gun at the teller,  jumped over the counter and took money out of the drawer.

The robber then fled out the bank on foot and he was last seen running south.

When officers arrived at the location, they searched the area for the robber, but could not find him.

Schools in the area were notified and took necessary precautions.

Police described the robber as 5 feet 9 inches tall, 140 pounds, wearing a black hooded jacket, blue jeans and a partial black mask covering the lower part of his face. He was also carrying a black backpack.

Anyone who sees the man is urged to call the Seattle Police Department.
