No charges are expected against a 54-year-old Bainbridge Island man who struck and killed a man with his car near Poulsbo Tuesday night, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported.
Firefighters responding to a report of someone lying in the middle of Highway 305 near Seminole Road found a man unconscious. They tried to save him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, the Poulsbo Fire Department said.
Troopers said the 30-year-old man was intoxicated and walking on the center line of highway when he stepped into the path of the car.
His identity has not been released.
